Not what I expected. Too bad.
Very disappointing! My Buta Gowurma was more salty than spicy and completely colorless. Chicken, chestnuts and apricots were already available, but actually overcooked. The food was actually there immediately after ordering. My husband had beef with vegetables. The aubergines were drowned in fat - the other vegetables were good, but there were only 3-5 cubes of the beef .... too little for 18 €. We'll never go in there again. I almost forgot, the service was very friendly.
First of all: the star is only available for the nice service! Everything else was a disaster. Had beef fillet with grilled vegetables on the Zajj. 4 potato slices, 1/2 grilled tomato, 3 aubergine slices soaked with fat, paprika, mushy onion and 3 pieces of beef (fillet was not guaranteed) approx. 30 grams (!!). Everything absolutely tasteless. Oh yes: 4 corners of fluffy flatbread. The whole for 18 €. Cheek! My wife's food was too salty for it. And light in the toilet was a matter of luck. Never again!
Spontaneous visit in September 2020. Table without reservation. Atmosphere a bit uncomfortable due to the large room, although the light could be used even better. Service very attentive and friendly. Typical dishes from the Azerbaijan region. Very tasty and especially in the presentation. Prices high, but reasonable. Sanitary facilities in order. Conclusion: recommendation
There were four of us spontaneously in this restaurant during our bike tour from Rügen to Usedom. The food was excellent, the service very friendly and fast! The food was very fine and well seasoned. The decor is very tasteful and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The Azerbaijani wines and the red wine from Karabakh were delicious. From our point of view a great and recommendable restaurant!
The food was okay. The music was annoying. Clinking piano that just didn't want to end.
Very tasty food and courteous service.
It was a spontaneous decision to eat at Buta and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious. There were four of us and each had a different dish - everyone was happy! Super delicious cuisine! I can also warmly recommend the tea with berries and basil leaves.
A very pleasant family atmosphere. I like to eat because I want to discover something new, and this was what I was offered here! And on top of that super delicious! Something really special. If you go out to eat because you fancy good food, this is the place for you! And the price is absolutely fine! Very friendly service too. Looking forward to the next visit!
Unfortunately the Chicken Burma was not a fillet but a hack, and the Gerolsteiner bottle was simply filled with cheap water, plastic bottle water, since the fresh seal of the Gerolsteiner bottle was no longer recognizable, and the plastic water was on the bar. So I would put more effort into it and hide it a little ... Since I do not see it to pay a 15 euro for the court. When I spoke to the waitress, she just ran away ... Maybe the hot pan dishes taste better. The starters were quite good.
Highly recommend! We went here for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. Place is beautiful and clean, staff is very friendly and attentive and the food and drinks were delicious. We also had a window seat with a beautiful view on the court house. What was most outstanding for us though was that I had forgotten my phone on the table and didn't realize until an hour later when the restaurant had already closed. We called and explained that we were leaving the next day early in the morning and wouldn't be able to pick it up during the restaurant's hours, they agreed to come back to the restaurant (at 10:30 pm) and meet us there for a handover. When we offered a tip for the inconvenience they were super nice about it all and didn't want to take any money for it saying it could happen to anyone and that it was all good. Very nice people! Highly appreciated! We We'll be back next time we're in Greifswald and will make sure to leave a big tip!
Food was exceptional and something new, priced but too expensive compared to the amount. The only waitress didn't care about us, the shop was empty.
Super delicious food, an incredibly friendly waitress who was happy to answer our questions and a cozy atmosphere ... we will try our menu further.
We used the Valentine's offer. We ate menu 1 and menu 3. As a starter we had the pancake with chicken and the minced meat. As a dessert, once soufflé with ice cream and once the homemade cake. The food was delicious, even if the main course was no longer warm. The waiters were all nice, but looked awkward and overwhelmed. We waited a long time for our food. The waiters had no idea which table last had which course and which menu was ordered. At dessert, the dessert came first, then the cutlery. Unfortunately there were also problems with invoicing. But this has been fixed. Overall you can say delicious food but the service is very expandable. Too bad you could have used the evening to advertise. Unfortunately, this did not succeed. Very expandable.
Was there on Wednesday with my staff there. Unfortunately only three stars, the beef was pork, a menu was over-salted, the dessert was older, the ice was peppered with small pieces of frozen water. On the quality should be worked in total.
So delicious ?Very welcoming staff, cozy place, I 'll definitely come there again?
Really a change and recommended! Very child friendly and flexible!
Very friendly service, pleasant, only a little exotic decor, surprisingly good Azerbaijani wine but above all excellent food. Exciting spices, good meat and crispy vegetables. Delicious little appetizers. Not eaten so well! And all at very moderate prices.
Very nice service and really delicious food. We will be back. :)
The restaurant is in a great location, right on the fish market. In the front you have a great view of the town hall, in the back there is a chic beer garden overlooking the cathedral. The decoration inside is a bit cheesy, but very cozy. The menu is varied, but priced is more in the upper segment, at least for Greifswald conditions. We had gourd (?), Which were delicious and flavorful. Also a lamb with vegetables that was good and rich and salmon with couscous. The salmon was super fried and the couscous good too. Baklava for dessert was unfortunately too sweet for me. All in all, the food tasted good here and the service was very nice, but not very attentive. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant (in the beer garden were still a few), we had to draw attention to each time. We were not asked proactively if we wanted to have a drink or a meal, and sat in front of the empty plates for a while before we could finally move someone to us. Even though we were in the direct view of the bar and as I said the only guests in the interior. I would still come back and maybe try the beer garden next time.
Not eating something as good in Greifswald's city center for a long time. It has everything from the price and taste to the friendly service and the great atmosphere. Would like to give more than 5 stars.
The food was very interesting seasoned and extremely delicious. Service was very friendly. There was a pomegranate wine there. Tasted very fruity and not too sweet. Likewise, there was also a pomegranate sauce which is otherwise served with fish, but also very well suited to the meat. Just to the lamb she fit very well. Has brought the lamb a long way forward.
